The National Steering Committee (NSC) is vested with the overall responsibility for providing guidance and advice on the implementation of the project and ensuring the delivery of targeted outputs and outcomes in line with project’s objectives. The NSC is chaired by the Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment (NRE) and is scheduled to meet at least twice a year. Secretariat assistance to the NSC is provided jointly by NRE as the Executing Agency of the project and the Project Management Unit (PMU).
The NSC is assisted by working/expert groups providing technical and expert inputs and views on the outputs generated by the project in the form of working papers, reports and documents such as management plans, business plans, and other strategic outputs. Technical committees or working groups can be formed by the PMU based on needs of the project in consultation with the Executing Agency.
